The Experience
Each day blends guided movement, mountain air, and simple living.
Mornings start with movement.
one day starts with an easy hike through the Catskills.
another morning we begin with yoga to wake up the body without rushing the nervous system.
You will explore wooded trails around Hunter Mountain, surrounded by quiet forests, cool air, and gorgeous scenery that invites you to slow down and breathe deeper.
There will be full body strength sessions designed to make you feel capable and athletic, plus destination hikes with the option for relaxed trail running for those who want it.
This retreat also includes a guided sound healing and meditation session, paired with gentle breath work to help you fully downshift and recover.
And there will be plenty of time to slow down.
Afternoons are quiet by design.
eat lunch in the garden, sip coffee in the lodge, hop in the sauna, or sunbathe by the pool.
we want you to rest and recharge.
Evenings bring everyone back together for chef-prepared organic dinners and fireside conversation.
The Setting
Scribner’s Lodge sits high above the Catskills in the town of Hunter, surrounded by forested hills, winding roads, and long views of the mountains.
The lodge blends classic mountain character with a clean, modern feel, creating a space that feels both grounding and elevated.
Rooms are warm, elevated and comfortable, designed for deep rest after full days outdoors,
When it is time to unwind, gather around the outdoor fire pits, soak in the pool and enjoy the barrel sauna, or simply sit on the deck and take in the stillness of the mountains.
Hunter Mountain and the surrounding Hudson Valley provide a calm, slower rhythm that makes it easy to disconnect from daily noise and reconnect with your body and your breath.
why we created the ultralife retreat
Modern life pulls us in a hundred directions.
We train, we work, we plan, but rarely slow down long enough to breathe, connect, and remember why any of it matters.
Long before UltraLife existed, the Hudson Valley was that reset place for me.
I grew up spending weekends here, escaping the city for fresh air, quiet mornings, and the kind of space that makes everything feel less urgent.
Later, I lived here for a chapter of my adult life, and no matter where I have gone since, I keep coming back to its calm, beauty, and grounding energy.
Hudson Valley has a way of reminding you how good it feels to slow down.
Since moving to Colorado, that same feeling has shown up for us in the mountains through hiking, running, exploring, and long days outside that leave you tired in the best possible way.
This retreat was born from wanting to share that feeling.
A place where movement and nature work together to bring you back to yourself.
A place to move your body, eat incredible food, sleep deeply, and feel part of something meaningful without the noise and pressure of everyday life.
We believe fitness is not about reps, miles, or checklists.
It is about feeling strong, capable, alive, and connected to the places and people that make life feel full.
The UltraLife Retreat is our way of inviting you back into that experience, in a place that has meant home, rest, and renewal to me for as long as I can remember.

Expect highs around 80 °F (26 °C) and crisp mountain nights in the 50’s °F (10-15 °C). Layers (like hoodies and long pants) recommended for evenings. You'll be visiting around the summer solstice (June 21), meaning you will have maximum daylight—roughly 15.2 hours—with sunsets as late as 8:32 PM.
What should I pack?
Daytime: Lightweight, breathable activewear is ideal for hiking and movement.
Evenings: Because of the mountain air, it’s wise to bring layers (hoodies, light jackets, or long pants) for fireside conversations and late-night strolls, as it can feel quite crisp.
Sun Protection: With high UV levels and long days, don't forget a hat and sunscreen for those outdoor sessions.
Can you accommodate dietary preferences?
Yes. We can accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions. Just let us know in your application so our chef can plan accordingly.
How fit do I need to be?
You should be comfortable with a few hours a day of movement, with options to hike, run, or walk. Every activity offers beginner and moderate-intensity options—this is about participation, not performance.
Are meals and alcohol included?
All meals are included for all 3 days. Alcohol is available and may be purchased any time from Scribner’s Lodge during open hours.
Can I come solo?
Absolutely. Many guests attend solo and are matched with a private room that fits their preference (private room or shared).
